A loving, safe haven for displaced children
We provide congregate care using the house parent model, allowing displaced children to truly feel part of a family.
We provide congregate care using the house parent model, allowing displaced children to truly feel part of a family.
No rotating door of supervisors. We provide a stable, family environment just like a foster home, with the training and expertise of a group care provider.
To maintain a close-knit, family feel, we only accept up to 5 children per home (ages 6-12). Each child is able to personalize his or her space.
Children receive daily tutoring, as well as life skills training such as cooking, chores, tracking allowance expenditures, and others.
Personalized birthdays, holidays, and family vacations. Children also participate in community events, weekly recreational activities, and monthly outings that reflect children’s interest.
As a house parent, the impact you can have on the lives of children in your care is immeasurable. Many children choose to refer to you as “mom” and “dad”.
In addition to competitive compensation, Haven Family Homes offers living stipends for house parents, including:
rent paid for in a spacious, well-kept home
food expenses
family outings/activities/holidays
subsidized fuel expenses
We foot the bill for extra-curricular programs. In addition, we provide weekly respite and vacation time for house parents.
House parents also benefit from free participation in all approved activities, outings, and vacations with children.
